Gifts of Personal Property
A unique way to support the Michigan Tech mission
The Michigan Tech Fund will be happy to assist you in arranging gifts of books, works of art, or other tangible personal property that represents significant acquisitions or additions to existing University collections.
For you to receive the most favorable tax treatment for your gift, the items must be related to the University's mission. Generally, this means items that can be used to further the University's teaching, research, and service activities rather than items that must be sold after they are donated.
The Michigan Tech Fund will be happy to provide you with additional information on appraisal requirements and other details.
